I have lived in the Akron, Ohio area all my life. I come from a large family and am the eldest of five siblings. I graduated from Firestone High School and spent 2 years in the United States Army, specializing in transportation. I have been with Precision Garage Doors for 6 years now. When I'm not working, I enjoy fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends. I have a lovely wife of 6 years, our daughter, four dogs, a cat, and our parrot. We are avid animal lovers.

Jim Todd certainly knew what he was doing, he quickly identified the problem and developed a solution. He was very efficient and able to complete the repairs quickly. The pricing was more than expected, I could have probably purchased the new parts much cheaper then what I paid but I am not familiar with garage door repairs. I would certainly utilize Precision Door Services again but I will educate myself before agreeing to the cost of new parts.

I was very impressed with Precision Door Service. We found their ad in the phone book. They were very professional, and I was impressed with the e-mail they sent me to confirm my appointment. In the e-mail they also displayed photos of their technicians with their names, so that you know who's coming to your door. Very consumer friendly! I would definitely call them again, and I would definitely recommend them to others.

It started as a service call and ended up me purchasing a new garage door and opener. Jim Todd was the technician and explained to me during the service call how he could fix the things that were not right. Jim also mentioned the benefits of a new garage door vs. the one I had which was 25 years old and how it didn't make sense to spend that much to fix what I had. But Jim said he would do whatever I decided. At no time was there any sales pressure. Jim presented the facts and left me to decide. Michael Cercone and Chuck installed the new garage door and did an excellent job. Very courteous and very neat workers. From start to end everyone was professional. I would recommend Precision to anyone who has issues with their garage door.

Old garage door opener was 25 years old and a chain drive. It was a Crafsman from sears and gave us good service for a long time, the remotes were replaced a few times and that was a downfall. Jim Todd was very nice and knew his stuff about openers. My wife and I are very satisfied with the new one so far and it so quit being a belt drive now. The new one from Precision has very nice features, light switch,child safety sensors on the floor by the door (FOR OUR GRANDCHILD,VERY IMPORTANT TO US. Jim Todd came to our home "EARLY" after a call from him and that was nice. So far my wife and and I would give Jim Todd and Precision Door 10 stars with the unit. Jim was very efficient, adjusting my doors, replacing springs and rollers, and installing a new opener. He advised on regular maintenance I should perform on my own to keep the doors operating smoothly. The project cost a bit more than I had hoped it would, but the work needed done.

i picked precision door service mainly from the yellow page add - liked the fact that off hours were available due to my work schedule. Jim was my technician and he did a great job. Because the only access I have to the garage is through the main door Jim actually crawled through a small side window so we could get the door up. He immediately found all the issues (roller bearings, gear box in the opener) and also had to install a new lock..he did the whole job in an hour and explained everything to me that he was doing..he also showed me the worn / broken parts. the total cost of the job was higher than i anticipated but it was worth getting it done so well and at a time convenient for me. Jim was a nice friendly guy and did a great job.

Jim was a very professional and competent installer. He recommended that my operner be replaced along with new springs and a pulley. The price he gave me seemed high although I had not contacted competitors. He also refused to just replace the opener and not the springs as he did not believe that would be a good solution. That clinched it for me. The belt drive opener that was installed is unbelievably quiet. Only reason for 4 stars was the price. Maybe in five or ten years that price will look great.
