My wife and I have a self sustaining urban farm in West Mifflin, where we raise chickens, goats, sheep, and dogs, oh yeah, I am also an animal lover. The technician showed up pretty late in the evening (backed up from other jobs) which I didn't mind. He talked me into doing more work than just replacing the torsion spring and told me that it would be under warranty if anything ever happened to it and that it would be transferrable if I sold the house (which I told him I was planning to do) - and therefore, I bought the larger scope of work. I asked for the warranty so that I could make sure I transfer it to the new owner, and he told me that the warranty would be emailed to me. I just printed the Invoice which included the warranty language which states that the warranty is not transferrable if I sell the house. I'm not happy about that and I would not have gotten the larger scope of work done had I known. The workmanship of the job he did was good and he left the place as clean as it was before he came.

I called Precision Garage Door Service to fix a door that would not longer open after slamming shut. The technician, Randy, arrived on Sunday within the 2 hour window - Precision does not up the rates on weekends. He checked the door, walked me through all that needed to be done and got right to work. He replaced the spring etc. in a little over 1 hour. He was polite and instructive and had provided me with a text photo and bio before arriving. I will call Precision and ask for Randy in the future if I need to.

I had a problem with the garage door opener not working. I had used Precision Door a few years ago on a different problem and received excellent service so decided to use them again. They were able to schedule an appointment two days after my call even though it was a Saturday. Their technician, Randy, arrived on time and very quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed the opener. He performed a general check of the entire system, lubricated the system where necessary, explained what he did and what to look out for in the future. I believe that he did a great job at a reasonable price and will definitely use them again if any additional problems arise.

Precision sent out technician Randy Swann to our home today to repair a garage door that is sadly only 5 years old. Double 16’ door. Randy diagnosed and explained the problem quickly and provided a price quote within minutes. He and his assistant were here for quite a while replacing a broken and otherwise inadequate spring mechanism and some other substandard parts of the garage track system. Apparently looks like this was one of those cutting corners in new construction situations. Precision replaced it with something that looks to me like will never break and if it does they provide a lifetime warranty. My entire interaction with Precision from booking the job to completion was highly professional and efficient. Not bargain prices by any means but very high quality and I have confidence do not need to ever be concerned with that part of the garage door again. I highly recommend Precision and technician Randy Swann based on my experience.

Randy is a good salesman and an excellent technician. He took the time to explain the new unique hardware supplied by Precision and we ended up to have him replaced all the cables, springs, rollers, and safety cables in all our three garage doors. Although it was a little bit pricy, the garage doors are now running smoothly and quiet. With the life time warranty, this should be a good investment. Randy also worked expertly and efficiently way into the night to make sure the work was completed within a reasonable time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, no nonsenses, and eager to pass along his knowledge and expertise. Very happy to have him to help us fix our garage doors. Will pass along the news to our friends and make referral in the future.

The only caution I would give is take the quote you get on the phone with a grain of salt, the actual repair was over double the price I was quoted. You won’t get an accurate estimate until the tech actually sees what you need. Would definitely recommend though.

The service technician did a great job. The pricing however was way out of line. $690 verses $385 from a competitor for the exact make and model. I was told that Precision does not price match. If you call Precision for an issue do not have them do any work prior to getting bids.
