I rate Precision Garage Door Service with a 5-Star rating! This morning as I was leaving out of my garage at 6:00 a.m. my garage door would not close after I pulled out of my garage. I then found myself searching for the key to my backyard lock so I could go through my backyard into my garage and manually close the garage door all the time looking out for coyotes, foxes, raccoons and skunks in the dark. When I got back home I started searching for professional companies; as I have had countless repairmen come to my home in the 14 years since I brought my home for quick fixes and paint jobs for my garage that I found on other sites trying to save some money. I knew this morning that I needed a professional as I do not want the garage door to slam down on my car while entering or exiting. Long story short I contacted Precision Garage Door Service and the Technician who came to my home at the exact time that I had selected. Damon, was professional, efficient and very helpful. My intention was to purchase a garage door after I pay my home off in a few years; but I was so impressed with the quality and work ethic of this young Technician, that I have decided that I’m going to have Precision Garage Door Service come back out this summer and install a new garage door and garage door opener. As I stated earlier, I give them a 5-star rating!

When Precision Garage Door Service says, "Same Day Service", they mean it! I called for service on my 30+ year old garage door at 1:22 pm. They scheduled me for the 4:00 - 6:00 pm time slot the same day. I received a text confirming the appointment. The service technician (Mike C.) called to report that he was on his way and would arrive by 3:30 pm. He was COVID-conscious and the whole process was touch-free. I fully expected a high-pressure sales pitch for a replacement motor/door. It never came. Mike quickly diagnosed the problems and repaired the garage door with the parts he had on his truck. He waived the the $65 Technician Service Fee because my repairs exceeded $100. The door was repaired by 5:30 pm. If you need your garage door repaired TODAY, call Precision Garage Door Service. Fast, friendly service at a reasonable price.

One of my door openers was acting erratically when trying to close the door, i.e., sometimes it would barely start down then go back up, sometimes it would get partially closed then go right back up, etc. David Kovach called as expected and said he was ahead of schedule. He asked if it was OK to arrive earlier than the appointment time. And it was ok with us. David quickly diagnosed the problem as being with one of the door safety sensors. And as he had a Liftmaster sensor kit on his truck, I requested that he go ahead and install it. David worked quickly and efficiently. He answered all my questions as he worked and was done in no time at all. The entire process went very well from my initial calls to set up an appointment through to the final installation. It was very nice to be able to talk to knowledgeable people. I have used Precision Garage Doors twice previously last year, once to replace a broken cable on the cable/chain assembly on one opener then next to install the bottom rubber weather strips on both doors. My good experience with Precision back then lead me to call them for the current issue I was experiencing. And I am happy that I did so. The only issue I had, and it was not until after David left, was as I reviewed the paid invoice I received via email, I noticed a $20 Energy Surcharge. Prior to signing/agreeing to the $129 charge, I asked David if the $65 Service Charge was deducted and he said that it was. I did not actually see a listing of the charges. I assumed the $129 was the cost of the sensor kit itself but later as I viewed the invoice, I saw that the cost for the kit is $109. Granted, I did not specifically ask what items comprised the $129 and I even had I done so and was aware of the Energy Charge, I would have still signed the authorization to do the work. My point is that in my opinion, Precision Garage Doors should direct the people at the call centers, in addition to pointing out the promotions, should also tell the caller about the $20 charge right up front. Also, the service technicians should tell the client that the price he is quoting includes a $20 Energy Charge. Again, I take responsibility for not asking specifically what the price includes. (I should note that when David handed me the IPAD to sign, he had told me the total charge is $129 and that the $65 Service Fee was deducted. But I did not see the itemized list that shows on the invoice. I only saw the signature page). I think more clarification of this should be considered. I give PGD a 5-Star rating based not only on this service call but also on the previous service calls they made to my house. The call center(s) are easy to reach and talk to a real person. The technicians are courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient at their jobs. The entire process is very easy with PGD and I will definitely use them again in the future. One last thing... in the questions below, I note that I purchased an opener. Not true, there was no option listed for the safety sensor kit thus I made the "opener" selection.
