Precision Garage Door installed my current Clopay double wide, insulated garage door about 3-1/2 years ago. Yesterday (a Sunday afternoon) one of the coiled springs broke - while the door was just sitting there. As you note on your website, a garage door never breaks at a convenient time. This certainly wasn't. It happened with both of our cars in the garage. I wasn't able to manually lift the door myself - and I was to pick up my wife at our church in about 30 minutes to go to a neighborhood holiday banquet. My neighbors helped with getting my wife and I to/from the banquet. Precision's 24 hour call in service answered right away when I called and put us on the schedule for the next day at noon. Within minutes I received an email confirming the appointment. It meant I could relax, knowing help was on its way. The next morning I received a call from the service technician asking if it was okay if he came an hour earlier. Tim Kronenberger arrived as promised & had our garage door fixed within an hour. Then he made sure the garage door and opener were working properly with all safety settings in place. It was a pleasure working with Precision - just as when the door was originally installed.

What I thought was just a broken cable turned out to be more than that. Damon who was the tech that came out was courteous and professional first inspected the broken cable and explained what causes them to fray. He checked the other side and informed me they were also starting to fray and it would have been in my best interest while he was there to do both sides before I could even ask him if I should have both sides done. He also checked the rollers and informed me they were starting to chip. He then discovered that the gears in the opener itself were stripped. He gave me the option of either replacing the opener or just replacing the cables and operating the door manually with no pressure to replace. I would recommend Precision Garage Door Service for all your garage door needs.

From the time that I called until the job was completed, the experience was fantastic. I was given a window of time in which the service technician would be at my home. Damon called when he was on his way from his previous appointment. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and respectful. The installation of the new garage door opener, spring, track, wiring, wall control unit and weather stripping was done very neatly. We are very happy with Precision. The company was recommended to us by Genie Garage Doors as the new garage opener we purchased wasn't working. It turned out that our door needed a new spring. The techs showed up within 24 hours, explained the issue, and repaired it onsite within an hour. The price was reasonable, and the techs were extremely nice and professional. We will be in need of a new garage door within the next few months and will go straight to Precision.
