Al, I really appreciate the response and great feedback in regard to our technician Tim! Unfortunately, Precision Door changed it's electronic filing system coincidentally in July of 2008. We apologize for that as that was just a mistake on the electronic side of things. We did in fact find your paper copy and we do see that you had the lifetime warranty. Precision Door always honors its warranties. We would also like to back up your statement you made that customers should "save their invoices." Actually, all Precision Door customers should note there is a disclaimer on the back of all invoices that states "This invoice is your receipt and must be presented before warranty work will be provided. It is not the responsibility of the Precision Door Franchisee to provide proof of warranty." So to all Precision Door customers reading this right now PLEASE SAVE YOUR INVOICES! I was very happy with the service I received. The technician was polite and knowledgeable. Service was provided in an timely fashion. Another company I called that stated they had 24/7 service, didn't answer the phone. Along with replacing the broken spring, Chris also replaced the cables and 'wheels', maybe they are the 'rollers', anyway, I am very happy with the experience I've had with Precision Door Service and would recommend them to others.

I appreciated the quick repair especially on a Saturday. The service technician was prompt and great to deal with. The reason I ranked this four stars instead of five was the cost of the springs. Your price was three times higher than any other price I could locate on the web.

Fantastic Service, Problem at 8.10am on a Saturday and service technician arrived at 11.30am, Broken spring diagnosed and 90 minutes later all was fixed. I was shocked at the cost but it needed to be fixed.

Service was fast and well done. I was disappointed that you would only guarantee the springs I had installed for only 90 days. Sounds like you don't have much faith in your product.

Mr. Wooster, As discussed during the service call, you had some other parts on your door that were failing, ie. rollers pulleys and cables. Since these parts all work together, we cannot warranty our springs due to the other parts on the door possibly compromising our springs. In fact, we do offer a lifetime warranty on those very same springs as long as you have the whole overhaul completed. Per our discussion, you are getting new doors in the summer, so the overhaul would not have made much sense for your situation. I hope you can understand this and I assure you, that your springs are of good quality. Please be sure to call us for an estimate when you are ready, as we do offer a lifetime warranty option with our new doors as well. The technician ( Tim ) was on time and very efficient. Replaced the broken spring in no time flat. I thought that the cost of the repairs was high but maybe that's what you pay when you get same day service.

I contacted Precision because one of my garage door springs and cables broke. I knew that I would need to have both springs and cables replaced. I found Precision in the Yellow Pages and noticed they have certified technicians and 24 hour emergency repair; plus they are a BBB Accredited Business. Chris Short the Certified Technician was ahead of schedule and was able to come earlier than expected (always a plus). In a short amount of time Chris was able to replace all the parts and have the garage door operating. The best part was Precision stands behind their Certified Technicians and parts with a Life Time Warranty.

The service technician was here timely, with all of his tools and ready to get busy. Great salesman also, as he had everything he needed in his truck and made suggestions for needed upgrades. Very neat, clean and organized!! Great job. The only downside is the price... Quite expensive, however, that's just the way it is sometimes.

I just had the doors installed yesterday. Michael did an absolutely wonderful job! He has a very high work ethic and is an excellent craftsman. I would have given you guys "five stars", but I rate pretty hard (smiling). I just wish that I didn't have to wait so long to get the doors installed (over a month), and they are a bit expensive; however, if they hold up and work properly I will be pleased. See me in about ten years for that final star (smiling). Thanks for your service!

Was prompt and professional. Found the problem and eliminated the it. I would have like if he would have found a way to have the door shut flush on the bottom as there is uneven spots on new concrete. Other wise he did what he was initially contacted to perform.

We love the garage door and Chris the installer was very professional. The one thing that we don't like about the product is the remotes. The silver clip on the remote opener is not secure and continues to fall out of the device. If I could make one recommendation, it would be to improve that.

I was pleased with the technician and the service and arrival as scheduled, my only comment is when I called and inquired about the service fees, I was not advised of the so called fuel surcharge, I thought this was a bit misleading..as I was told the service fee was waived only after I was indicating I might go elsewhere, but nothing was said about the other charge...

The good: The technician arrived here in 1/2 hour- very impressive. He was very knowledgeable, professional and informative!!. He fixed the broken cable quickly. He couldn't have been nicer or efficient. Now the bad---- when I called the office the woman on the phone said there was no record of my garage door being serviced on 6/2008!!! Fortunately, I showed my "SAVED" invoice to the technician and he agreed his service was under warranty. He apologized for the missrepresentation at the home office and said he would inform the office that this was warranty work. He took down the numbers of the two work orders that I saved from 6/2008. I hope this was an oversight and not some scam by precision garage doors to circumvent the warranty!!!! Again, in terms of the technician--YOU SHOULD GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE. He was great!!! I would recommend Precison to other people but I will tell them to save their invoices!!!!
