Jim Todd certainly knew what he was doing, he quickly identified the problem and developed a solution. He was very efficient and able to complete the repairs quickly. The pricing was more than expected, I could have probably purchased the new parts much cheaper then what I paid but I am not familiar with garage door repairs. I would certainly utilize Precision Door Services again but I will educate myself before agreeing to the cost of new parts.

Appreciated that your company responded to problem without insisting on time and a half like our previous dedicted Co. Citywide did ( they no longer will service our stores ).The door that was repaired did malfunction for a period of about an hour and a half by stopping half way down but has since functioned ok. Your website should make it simple to obtain the local repair #. Overall it took an extra day I assume to get parts but the door was repaired to my satisfaction

I saw your ad on television - when I called I asked if the $39.95 was the ONLY charge. I was told it was. In addition the the safety check and lubrication I needed a new spring. George was very neat, polite and professional. I told him to replace only the one spring which he did. When I got the bill there was a $20.00 surcharge in addition the the $39.95 and the cost of the repairs.

The service performed was a checkup. The technician was on time and courteous. He adjusted the closing force on the door. When he left the door would not go down. The force was reduced to a point that initiation of closing the door caused the door to reverse and go back up. It took 3 or 4 attempts to get the door to close. I put a call in for the tech but managed to remedy the problem myself. My call was returned promptly but a return visit by the tech was unnecessary.

New door looks good. I did find a dent in the door and you are replacing the panel, but it should have been discovered by the installer and they order a replacement. Not having me call and you look at the pictures to confirm it should be replaced.

I chose precision because they were available 24/7 and I had an emergency. The operator set up my appointment for 11pm - 1am. Then, I received an email that said the technician would arrive at my home between 11pm-1145pm. My technician arrived 10 minutes early. He was quick, knowledgeable, professional and very courtious. The customer service is very "customer friendly"!

Very pleased with the service. I've used Precision before at my previous house and called them again for my new house. Technician called to confirm and stated when he would arrive at my home. Technician listened to my concerns, checked the door, and determined the best course of action. He told me how long the repair would take, got my approval and completed the job as stated. I will use Precision again and will recommend the company.

Jim was very efficient, adjusting my doors, replacing springs and rollers, and installing a new opener. He advised on regular maintenance I should perform on my own to keep the doors operating smoothly. The project cost a bit more than I had hoped it would, but the work needed done.

We are very satisfied with our new garage door. The only thing I saw different from when I spoke to the guy who completed the estimate was that we weren't able to update the way the rails are put in for the new door to be installed. He indicated we could have it all look so that you didn't have to see the rails so close to our heads. But when the gentleman who completed the installation began installing he indicated that it had to be completed the same way we had it due to the size/height of our garage. But at least the garage door is a lot more quieter than the other one (which he indicated would be the case). We are overall very very pleased. Husband still has to bend his head when he comes in the house door of the garage because of the low rails...

Jim was a very professional and competent installer. He recommended that my operner be replaced along with new springs and a pulley. The price he gave me seemed high although I had not contacted competitors. He also refused to just replace the opener and not the springs as he did not believe that would be a good solution. That clinched it for me. The belt drive opener that was installed is unbelievably quiet. Only reason for 4 stars was the price. Maybe in five or ten years that price will look great.

This is the second time I've called your company, and would have given you 5 stars except for the "energy surcharge." It tells me nothing about what it is, nor why I was charged. I'm suspicious. Repair guy was great. Done fast. Friendly. Garage door is very quiet now. The price was unexpected, but when you are stuck in the garage what can you do. Plus, it now has a lifetime warranty so it seems worth it. Would call again.

I was quoted a price to repair a garage door that was not working properly. Justin also suggested preventive maintenance on my other door so the same situation would not occur with this one. At a later date, he completed the agreed upon work and did so efficiently and on time. He was very pleasant to deal with and the service was exceptional. The price was higher than I had hoped to pay, but his original estimate was consistent with the actual cost.

I was impressed with the ease of the appointment process. The repair man, Tim, called and said he was running 30 minutes late due to an unexpected problem from a previous appointment. I appreciated the heads up. Both my doors were inspected and fixed. My main door needed a roller, I must admit I thought you could buy one from Home Depot, but the ones installed are much better quality. My door is opens with ease and sounds quiet. I will recommend Tim and your company to my friends and family. My only issue was the fuel surcharge was not disclosed during the appointment process.

The good: The technician arrived here in 1/2 hour- very impressive. He was very knowledgeable, professional and informative!!. He fixed the broken cable quickly. He couldn't have been nicer or efficient. Now the bad---- when I called the office the woman on the phone said there was no record of my garage door being serviced on 6/2008!!! Fortunately, I showed my "SAVED" invoice to the technician and he agreed his service was under warranty. He apologized for the missrepresentation at the home office and said he would inform the office that this was warranty work. He took down the numbers of the two work orders that I saved from 6/2008. I hope this was an oversight and not some scam by precision garage doors to circumvent the warranty!!!! Again, in terms of the technician--YOU SHOULD GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE. He was great!!! I would recommend Precison to other people but I will tell them to save their invoices!!!!

Al, I really appreciate the response and great feedback in regard to our technician Tim! Unfortunately, Precision Door changed it's electronic filing system coincidentally in July of 2008. We apologize for that as that was just a mistake on the electronic side of things. We did in fact find your paper copy and we do see that you had the lifetime warranty. Precision Door always honors its warranties. We would also like to back up your statement you made that customers should "save their invoices." Actually, all Precision Door customers should note there is a disclaimer on the back of all invoices that states "This invoice is your receipt and must be presented before warranty work will be provided. It is not the responsibility of the Precision Door Franchisee to provide proof of warranty." So to all Precision Door customers reading this right now PLEASE SAVE YOUR INVOICES!
