We had your technician out to do a checkup today. We used your ad for the 39.95 promotional fee. He spent 5 minutes tops doing the service. Okay, everything seemed to be functioning properly. So, when it came to pay he informed me that there was a $20 surcharge. I asked for what. He said everybody charges a surcharge. I told him I’m not paying it. If you are going to add a surcharge, it should be noted in your ad or when the appointment is made. NOT good business!
- Doug Vandervort
Thank you, Doug, for bringing this to my attention. I do see that you were refunded the $20 surcharge, so you only paid the $39.95 discounted service fee. We do apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for using Precision Garage Door.

Very knowledgeable and friendly technician. Would give 5 stars for the technician but would give 0 on price. Very expensive! Would look other options first.

Door does not sit evenly on the garage floor in the down position. It did prior to the technician's visit.

They were prompt and efficient, but I did not appreciate being quoted $184 only to be charged $264.

The technician showed up pretty late in the evening (backed up from other jobs) which I didn't mind. He talked me into doing more work than just replacing the torsion spring and told me that it would be under warranty if anything ever happened to it and that it would be transferrable if I sold the house (which I told him I was planning to do) - and therefore, I bought the larger scope of work. I asked for the warranty so that I could make sure I transfer it to the new owner, and he told me that the warranty would be emailed to me. I just printed the Invoice which included the warranty language which states that the warranty is not transferrable if I sell the house. I'm not happy about that and I would not have gotten the larger scope of work done had I known. The workmanship of the job he did was good and he left the place as clean as it was before he came.

I like that appointment was quick and easy to schedule. I liked the "heads up" from tech and sending photo was a great idea. Unfortunately the price was pretty high. I will get a few more estimates before I make a decision.

Thank you, Eileen, for taking the time to give us your review. We do offer several discount coupons in flyers such as Val-Pak or Clipper Magazine.

The tech and his assistant were very nice. However, for a replacement part that might have cost $20 and perhaps 45 minutes of labor, I thought a $363 charge was extremely high.

I would definitely recommend Precision, and will definitely use them again when I am ready to replace my garage door and opener. They are accommodating on service times, prompt and professional. Thank you George!

Work was done okay, I could do work myself but needed it done in 3 days. Technician passed by house, don't the vans have GPS? Torsion spring was triple the price of online springs. The original spring lasted 25 years, cycle time is a sales gimmick. $700 for a lifetime guarantee? I see why they don't quote spring prices over the phone.

The service was excellent. The parts are 3 to 4 times market rates. And the attempt of the technician to sell extras was annoying. Otherwise the technician did perform a professional service. Had this not been an emergency, I'd have shopped around more or done the work myself. Avoiding the typical repair person sales tactics and excessive charge.

The technician who came to service both of my garage doors was very polite and professional. He walked through all the issues that needed to be fixed and or replaced with me followed by the quote to fix. Disappointed at the overall cost to repair spring and cables which I thought as on the high side. There was also a pile of debris left on the garage floor that I cleaned up after he left. Service was excellent but cost factor was not so good.

I called for a broken cable and ended up getting a door overhaul. Prices were much more expensive than my experience with other garage door repair companies and I have no idea if I did the right thing. Repair man was very nice.

If the star rating was only for the technican and the work performed it would be a 5 star but due to the fact I feel it was very expensive I am giving it a 3 star. If you don't mind paying extra I would definitely recommend them.

Quick arrival and knowledgeable, personable technician. My only complaints are the extremely high cost and the fact that the opener and door were not all considered one unit so that anything that needed to be repaired could be done and it would all be covered under one warranty. Especially considering the cost.
- Jennifer Capellman
The garage door is a separate, luxury item added to the door so the customer does not have to lift the door manually. Garage doors are purchased as separate items and although they work together, the work performed on your door does not fix any issues your opener may have in the future. Therefore, it would be impossible for Precision to warranty a garage door opener since no repair work was done to the opener and Precision did not install said opener.

I chose you because the person that installed my garage door no longer sdoes them. I looked in the yellow pages and on the BBB and saw you had a good rating as well as a coupon. I was hoping you could come out the same day, but that didn't happen. I didn't like them trying to push so many other things, but I know that is how business works. I would have them come back if I need further work done.

Technician was super. Competent and friendly. But you must have geniuses in your corporate office. $65 for the service call. I get it. But the total charges were close to $200 to replace a keypad! Bravo management for working over your customers.
